Over the last two years, John Grinder and Carmen Bostic St Clair have presented under the auspices of The Paradigm Academy a series of seminars designed to place in the hands of professional agents of change, the most effective and up-to-date patterning for the task inherent in such an endeavour. Professional Coaching is about competence and congruence.

At the beginning of the series a special opportunity was offered to those participants who wished to test for certification as an International NLP Coach, one of the fastest growing areas of professional change work. The series so far has comprised of intervention patterns drawn primarily from the New Code of NLP. Topics for Excellence in Coaching 9th, 10th 11th November 2005 and Themes for Excellence in Coaching 17th, 18th, 19th March 2006 covered various topics including unconscious signals, multi perceptual positions, representational systems, metaphor, verbal package & calibration.

Those participants who have attended these seminars and who have practiced in a disciplined manner during the interim periods of time are likely to be well-prepared for the qualifying events that, if successfully handled lead to certification by John and Carmen as an International NLP Coach.

The three day seminar in March 2007 is designed around a series of situation puzzles – these are scenarios in which some of the participants will receive explicit instructions about what kind of a client to present as well as what specific issues they are to use to challenge the participant being assessed in the role of the Coach. Successfully solving these puzzles will indicate that the participant has reached an acceptable minimum level of competency as a Coach skilled in NLP patterning.

We guarantee that at the end of these three days, participants will know with precision where on the path to mastery they are as a qualified International NLP Coach. This, from the point of view of the presenters is the value of this carefully structured Coaching seminar.

For John and Carmen, NLP is a competency-based activity. Congruent with this position, they wish to extend to any Coach interested in assessing and improving their skills an invitation to participate. The presenters themselves will offer direct feedback.
