Questions you can benefit from asking before you embark upon an NLP course.
Before you bind yourself to a certificate at the NLP Practitioner or Master Practitioner level it's important to find and experienced trainer who has the abilities and skills that you desire for yourself. This is because modelling is the basis in NLP technology and consciously or unconsciously you will begin to model your trainer(s) during the course. Most serious trainers host free introductory courses/meetings which lasts for several hours and gives you the opportunity to form a non - commital impression.

You can ask the following questions:

• What do I want from this course?
• How will I know that I have got what I wanted?

• Who are the trainers and how many of the contact hours will the trainer(s) host the course?
• From where and when does the trainer(s) have their education?
• What is the length of the trainer(s) work experience?
• What is the trainers goal for the course?
• How have the trainers integrated NLP in all the areas of their lives and what results can they show to?
• How many contact hours/days can the trainer dispose of?
• Is the trainer updated with the latest within NLP?
• Where and when will the course be running?
• What kind of procedure is used during the training?
• What are the prices and, if relevant, what are the sleep-over possibilities?
• Referances. Who has been on the course?
• Ask for names and addresses so that you have the opportunity to ask for different descriptions of and insights into the course and trainer(s).
• What are the rules and regulations concerning certification, refunds and absence?

There are many who have obtained Knowledge in NLP and who offer courses and diplomas in self - development, leadership and industrial courses. There are, however, far from many NLP'ers who have integrated NLP in their own lives, but rather only have IQ based knowledge. There are also people who are new to NLP, coaching and therapy who have created closed networking groups and who are trying to limit the natural evolution of this fantastic technology. By using a competent centre with long experience and holistic trainers who themselves, have integrated NLP on a deeper level in their own lives, you will be able to feel safe that you will be met with understanding for your process as you embark upon bringing your life to the next level.

It could also be beneficial - although no guarantee - that NLP trainer is affiliated to one or several of the larger international NLP organisations. For instance: Association of Neuro Linguistic Programming and American Board of Neuro Linguistic Programming.

We therefore suggest that you proceed by firstly considering how you want to develop and in what direction. Following this you should look for a trainer who has a style that you like. It is important that the training follows the international guidelines for NLP certification as this ensures you will be able to continue your education with other serious NLP centres, for example abroad. You should also ask for references and find out whether your trainer has integrated NLP in all the areas of his/her life and that they're not just teaching you learned information. This is recommended as in NLP it is important to "Live What You Learn".

Here is a guideline to questions we recommend that you ask potential NLP trainers:

• Can your company secure the quality of the NLP course?
• From where and whom do you hold your NLP certifications?
• How long have you been working with NLP and what is your work experience as a trainer?
• What kind of occupational background do you have from before you chose NLP as your field? (this question is very important!)
• Can you offer references from people who have participated on your courses?

Our advice is to gather as much information as possible before you pay or bind yourself to an NLP course/certification.
